Kitsu Motso (TCG)

Kitsu Motso (TCG)

Kitsu Motso was a samurai of the Lion Clan.

Appearance[]

Motso was a handsome man. [1]

Conflict with the Crane[]

Toshi Ranbo[]

Motso was part of the Lion contingent who attempted to retake the northernmost Lion city, Toshi Ranbo, from the Crane, who had occupied the city to force a Lion army away from the contested grain-laden Osari Plains in the south. During the ensuing fight the Lion Clan Champion Akodo Arasou died beside his beloved and brash Matsu Tsuko. Motso approached - Arasou's fallen katana in hand - to Akodo Toturi, proclaiming Arasou's older brother as the new Lion Champion. Motso was charged to prepare the funeral rites for Arasou at Yōjin no Shiro. [2]

Osari Plains[]

During the funeral Motso presented to Tsuko a group of rōnin who had captured Shirei Mura, a village in the contested Osari Plains. Shortly after the Matsu Daimyō executed on the spot their leader, Kujira, because the capture was an act of trickery, a vile deception against the Crane. [3]

Lion Schism[]

Motso eagerly knelt to Matsu Tsuko when she proclaimed herself as the true Lion Clan Champion, disavowing his Lord Akodo Toturi. [1] Motso was part of the Lion forces who seized Kyūden Kakita, a castle which was eventually destroyed by an explosion. After Kakita Yoshi became the new Imperial Regent, Motso moved to Otosan Uchi Aas part of the escort of Kakita Ichirō, nephew to the regent. He joined there other members of the Imperial Court, such as the Lion ambassador, Ikoma Ujiaki, the sensei Akodo Kage, and Matsu Hiroru, younger brother of Matsu Tsuko. [4]
