Kitsu Masaru was a shugenja of the Lion Clan. He had a Guiding Ancestor who gave him a warning, and she passed on turn to her husband. Just as the Unicorn did before the Battle of Rushing Rivers, they hoped to pass the Lion guard in the night. None of the scouts they sent to find them ever returned in life, but one had returned from death to make sure the Lion did not fail again. [1]
