Kitsu Mai was a shugenja of the Lion Clan.
Colonies[]
Mai was sent to the Colonies a place where she could spread the teachings of the ancestors to a new generation. She eventually fell in love with a young Scorpion shugenja studying the nature of the kami in the Colonies. [1]
Siege of the Second City[]
After the Siege of the Second City she was appointed Ivory Court Scribe. Mai swore to the interim Imperial Governor of the Colonies, Kuni Renyu, to act as his liaison for the existing bureaucracy, alongside another court members, as Asahina Michiyo, and Isawa Teiko. Shortly after, the Empress' second son Iweko Shibatsu took the post of governor for himself. [2]
