Kempi was a flower prevalent in the northermost part of the Shosuro provinces, which was found nowhere else in Rokugan. It had a pleasant scent and four brilliant red petals. [1]
Symbol of honorable love[]
The flower was the height of fashion to give, as a gift of honorable love, usually in a jeweled brooch in the shape of the blood-red flower. It happened since the history of Bayushi Itaru and Shosuro Temare, the lovers who killed one each other in a duel, remaining loyal to themselves, each other and their families the only way that they could.
