Kelet, or spirit guard, was the title given to the triad of shugenja leaders of the Battue family, vassals of the Iuchi family. [1]

The origins of the Battue were three shugenja who were followers of Iuchi Nagol, unknowing he was a maho-tsukai, and his murderers when they realized the corrupted quest of his master. The Iuchi leaders granted them their own family to use those familiar with the ways of dark magic as a weapon against corruption. Each Kelet member would live apart to ensure that the corruption of one would not doom all three. They resided in the Tower of the Kelet, at the northern Forest of Dreamers' northern edge. [1]
