Kekkai

Kekkai were creatrues made of blood inhabited by a kansen. They appeared as tiny humans, blood red in color, and with a sticky and slimy texture. They were not capable of causing serious harm, but possessed a childish malignance that delighted in bringing fear in those who saw them. Their presence also caused corruption to spread, and purification rituals were needed to destroy them. They collapsed back into a puddle of blood that quickly dried.
