Kayosai was the leader of the Free Ogres of the Mikata, during the second part of the 12th century.
Father's Death[]
Kayosai came to power right after the death of his father Kayobun in 1159 at the hands of the Crab Clan Champion Hida Kuon. He developed hatred for the Crab, not only for Kayobun's death, but for the utter disdain Kuon has shown the Ogres. [1]
Grudge against Daigotsu[]
Like his predecessor, Kayosai had a grudge with Daigotsu for freeing the old bane of their race, Fu Leng, from Meido, and had the Mikata leave the Dark Lord's service when he was dethroned by Iuchiban in 1165. It must, therefore, have been a great disappointment for him when his disciple, Kayomasa, chose to go to the City of the Lost to pledge his service to Daigotsu, in 1167. [2]
