Kakita Nenko was a maiden of the Crane. The Emerald Champion Doji Komatsu selected Nenko as his bride, passing over Doji Nashiko, a beautiful courtier. [1] An embittered Nashiko seduced Komatsu and half of the men of his court, giving their names to oni. The courtier would be known as the Demon Bride of Fu Leng after she escaped. [2]
