Kakita Ashidaka a Weaponsmith of the 6th century and the founder of the Ashidaka family. He devised a way to forge the first Kakita Blade. His lord was so impressed that he immediately gave Ashidaka status as a vassal lord and charged him with teaching his techniques to others. [1]
Famed Duel[]
It was said that a ronin came to the Nahan province and challenged an aged Ashidaka. The duelist used to buffet his opponents with insults until they were enraged, so he would easily claim victory. For the entire duel, the ronin hurled insult after insult, and after ten minutes, he humbly bowed, conceding defeat. [2]
