Kaiu Shihobu was the Kaiu Daimyō during the reign of Hida Kisada. [1]
Appearance and Demeanor[]
Shihobu was a tall woman with brown eyes who would not be satisfied the battle could begin until she had inspected all of the siege equipment personally. [1] She frequented the legendary forge of the original Kaiu, helping students with a contagious enthusiasm. [2]

In 1123 Shihobu was betrothed to an Asako scholar. [3]
