Kaeru Kenko was a ronin bushi of the Kaeru family.
Machi-Kanshisha[]
Kenko was widely recognized sensei of the order of Machi-Kanshisha, the enforcement arm of the Kaeru family, a gruff and straightforwad individual who was an effective peacekeeper. [1]
House of the Golden Frog[]
He was the sensei of the secret dojo House of the Golden Frog, a master of stealth and deception. [2] The creation of a distinct school was a development around 1165. Working with Ikoma senseis, the masters of the Kaeru codified and formalized training methods to instruct new students in the fighting style of the Kaeru. [3]
