Joji was a ronin, son of Atsuko, the propietor of Tempered Jade, a tea house at Nanashi Mura. Her mother sold Tea of Jade Petals discreetly, and sold this knowledge to the Asako Inquisitors. Joji found distasteful that their true source of income was selling out samurai who were suspected of the Taint. [1]
