Jiro was a young peasant who had been born in the Colonies. Onboard a Mantis ship he asked the monk Donu about the life in the Old Empire. Eventually the ship was attacked by a marine demon, which was killed by the monk, with the aid of Jiro and a Mantis sailor. [1]
