Finger of Jade
Jade were the tears of Amaterasu which fell to Ningen-dō and laid alone. [1] It was a extremely rare, valuable [2] and blessed precious stone. [3] As a source of spiritual purity owing to its connection to both Ningen-dō and Tengoku, jade repelled the denizens of other Spirit Realms and protected the soul from the Shadowlands Taint. [4] Fingers of Jade were worn by samurai when entering the Shadowlands. [5] They were a length of the precious green stone worn about the neck on a thong to ward off the corrupting effects of the Taint. [6][7] One of its varieties was known as Nephrite Jade. [8]
