Isawa Manami was a shugenja of the Phoenix Clan.
Talented Shugenja[]
During her gempuku, when Manami spent a requisite night in the Isawa Mori, she disappeared. After three days, she was found sleeping in the same clearing where she had been left. Thereafter, her ability to commune with the kami burgeoned dramatically. She even improvised on established practices, refining and improving them in ways that worked well for her, but that even much more senior shugenja simply didn't understand. It was widely believed that Manami would someday become an Elemental Master. [1]
