Isawa Juriko was a shugenja of the Phoenix Clan married to Isawa Ranmaru. [1] Some suggested she might one day become the next Master of Fire, and took some students under his wing such as Isawa Aki. Unfortunately, something went wrong, and Juriko died in a horrible fire [2] in 1122. [3]
