The Isawa Duelists were shugenja who specialized in the Shugenja Taryu-Jiai dueling style. They were taught in the Isawa Taryu-jiai Academy. They also delved into the mysteries of the Void, and thus they were referred to as Isawa Void Master. Only samurai who had studied in the Isawa Shugenja School were admitted into this exclusive dojo.
