Isawa Atsuko
Isawa Atsuko was a void shugenja, an Ishiken, of the Phoenix Clan.
Sensei[]
Atsuko became a sensei of the Starry Heaven Sanctuary, guiding young initiates in the ways of the Void, such as Isawa Nobu. She used a bowl to scry in the future and to get visions within her favored element. The sacred metal could capture fleeting images on the surface of the water within. [1]
A Threat on Meishodo is Warned[]
Atsuko believed she had foreseen a great and powerful danger in the use of meishōdō by the Unicorn Clan, and made contact with Master Ujina and Lady Kaede immediately. The Phoenix warning reached the Emperor himself, who conferred with his counselors to determine whether this magic served the Empire or endangered Rokugan. [1] The Emperor saw fit to allow the Unicorn Clan to continue practicing meishōdō, but officially requested their assistance in teaching its use to his Hidden Guard. [2]
