The Imperial Barge was the river ship which was used by the Emperor and his court when he had to sail in a river stream. He used it to arrive at Tsuma, to assist to the Topaz Championship. [1] It was of golden color. [2]

It was armed with catapults on deck, and had a dragon-carved battering ram on the prow, with the Imperial Guardsmen keeping the Emperor's safety. The Imperial Standard was raised as the vessel's flag. [1]
