Ikoma Tsurayui was a scribe of the Lion. In 820, just past their gempuku, he was sent by the Lion Clan Champion, Ikoma Kojima, to the retinue of general Matsu Sakura, during her campaign against the Unicorn Clan, which ended in the Battle of Snow Plain. [1]
