Noritobe was a storyteller, one of the first samurai to swear fealty to Ikoma himself, and took the family name as his own at the Dawn of the Empire, becoming Ikoma Noritobe. Akodo presented him to Hantei Genji, and the Emperor entrusted Noritobe to write a great epic tale of the Emperor's adventures entitled "The Prince of Heaven." The Ikoma were granted with the honor of recordĀing the deeds of the Empire, and Noritobe was the first master of the Ikoma Libraries. Noritobe died shortly after construction of the Ikoma library was completed. His remains were interred at the base of the scroll racks that detailed the Dawn of the Empire, one of the few racks that was entirely untouched by the fire that conĀsumed the Histories during the War Against Shadow.
