Ikoma Natsu
Ikoma Natsu was a bushi Warden and magistrate of the Lion Clan.
Tactics[]
Natsu believed it was preferable to overestimate the ability of the enemy cavalry. [1]
Emerald Magistrate[]
Toshi Ranbo[]
In 1199 Natsu had been recently appointed as one of the clan's senior magistrates within the Imperial City Toshi Ranbo. He met Kitsu Kanae there, and they shared at Imperial Court the unveiling of a new paint from Ikoma Satoru, which depicted Shinjo Kinto taken in custody by an Imperial, Otomo M'rika. She demanded satisfaction for the destruction of so many of her family's holdings during the Siege of the Second City. They believed it was an opportunity to fill the position of the Ninth Imperial Legion Commander with a Lion. [2]
Threats to the Empire[]
Natsu was an Emerald Magistrate under the command of First Magistrate Doji Hakuseki. She formed part of a group that faced several threats of the Empire, alongside Sutigu, Yoritomo Minori and Bayushi Kahoku. They found the location of a Temple of Fudo in the deepest portions of the Spine of the World Mountains, where the range divided the Crane holdings into two. The monks had been slaughtered by the Dark Naga, and they confronted these creatures. Hakuseki was killed by the enemey leader, who in turn was struck down by Akodo Kano, who had been following the group at a distance. In the temple they found the Writings of Fudo, a series of accounts that detailed P'an Ku's interefence in the history of the Empire. In a secret chamber they found the Heart of Fudo, a powerful artifact. [3]
A Matter of Honor[]
In 1199 a Crab army had engaged a Lion army in the Plains of Thunder to resolve a matter of honor, which involved a slight against his Clan's honor for the appearance of an oni of the Shadowlands, Minikui no Oni, within the Lion lands. Alongside with Toritaka Chokichi they exposed the true responsible, a corrupted shugenja descendant of the disgraced and defunct Shimizu family, who had summoned the demon. [4]
