Ikoma Honzo was a duelist of the Lion Clan who in the 8th century wrote The Days of Salt and Sun, a journal which kept his warrior's journey. Honzo's brushwork was deficient in several technical areas, but his sense of composition was flawless, having a real talent for capturing his subjects in midmotion. His wry humor was a brilliant match for the art. [1]
