Ide Jengiri was a member of the Unicorn Clan. He oversaw to the Ide family's day-to-day responsibilities at Shiro Ide, alongside with Ide Yoshiko, daughter of the Ide Daimyo Ide Tadaji. They developed a casual relationship and many guessed they would marry. [1] Yoshiko preceded her aged father in death only by a few years, succumbing to some unknown fever that had robbed her first of her mind, then her life. [2]
