Ide Itagi was the daimyo of the Gakko province and son of Ide Fugoki. [1]

Itagi was an obese and simple samurai, who was easily manipulated by Shosuro Kachiko. During winter court at Kyuden Seppun she offered Itagi a marriage in the Shosuro chambers. Itagi confronted Hiruma Atsumatsi, who currently held the rights of Kachiko's hands through an arrangement made between both families. The Crab willingly surrendered his claim upon Kachiko, and Itagi rushed to be married. After the wedding he realized the bride covered by the wedding veil and thickly painted makeup resembling a Scorpion mask was Akodo Ogoshiko, daughter of Akodo Matsigoshi. Kachiko had fulfilled her vow that Itagi would be married, but he had believed Kachiko would be his wife, proving he was a complete moron. [2]
