The Hour of the Ox was the name for one of the night periods in which the Rokugani hours of the day were known, which was sometimes written as the Hour of Fu Leng. [1] This hour was considered the unluckiest one, closely associated with Jigoku, the period in which the dark realm had the greatest influence on the Mortal Realm. [2] It was preceeded by the Hour of the Rat [3] and followed by the Hour of the Tiger. [4]
