Horiuchi Shoko was a skilled warrior and shugenja with tendency to lapse into vacuous conversation. [1]
Training[]
Shoko was the eldest daughter of the Horiuchi Daimyo, Horiuchi Shem-Zhe, [2] and one of the most promising students of her generation, joining the Horiuchi Shugenja school at Honored Watch Castle. Shoko's cheerful demeanor made her an excellent emissary for the tiny family. [3]
Shinden Horiuchi[]
Her father spent little time in Shinden Horiuchi, so the temple was cared by Shoko, who personally welcomed all visitors. [2]
Fall of Otosan Uchi[]
In 1159 Shoko fought alongside Tamori Tsukiro in the Fall of Otosan Uchi. [4]
Tower of the Ningyo[]
In 1160 Shoko was alongside the courtier Kitsuki Tadashi when they discovered the golden Tower of the Ningyo and saved its inhabitants from pirates. The Ningyo were pleased and declared themselves allies of the Dragon Clan. [1]
