Horiuchi Kagita was a shugenja of the Unicorn Clan who trained to one day serve amongst the Baraunghar. In 1171 he fell to the plague [1] and was most likely killed with the rest of the populations of Horiuchi lands following Empress Iweko I's decree to have the entire area put to the torch.
