Hiruma Kenchaku was a scout of the Crab Clan. In 1127 he alongside Hiruma Iyatu were part of a scouting party that guided a Crab fleet toward Otosan Uchi, to assault the Imperial City. Every scout party had to pour a sack of flammable oil onto a stack of wood, and exactly one hour later empty a second sack of oil, lighting a fire. The Crab fleet moved silently through the black waters, along the coast at midnight. The fires allowed the vessels to see where the shoreline was, sailing safely toward its destiny, [1] in the called Kisada's Blockade. [2]
