Hiro was a member of the bandit gang led by Tsubaki. They attacked a caravan and stole several lacquered boxes which contained priceless original work of long-dead artisans, but during the assault they found themselves ambushed by superior forces of Seppun Magistrates. All the gang was captured or killed. [1]
