Hida Zempai was the Crab Clan Champion.
War with the Scorpion[]
Zempai during an outburst made clear his disdain for the Scorpion, their castle, their gardens and even the Bayushi Meibuko's looks, wife to the Scorpion Clan Champion Bayushi Dokata. The Scorpion were tied up in a war with the Lion, so Meibuko sent a gift to Zempai, four Nagori's Chrysanthemums, expecting it could appease the Hida Daimyo. Despite her efforts, the Crab attacked the Scorpion the next year, taking a good portion of their southern land for displaced Hiruma. [1]
