Heimin
Heimin, or “half-people,” [1] were the bonge, [2] the labor caste of Rokugan. [3] Within the category of heimin, there was further stratification. In order of social importance, the first were farmers, then artisans and craftspeople, and finally merchants, who made nothing themselves and only deal in trade and commerce. [4]
