The Plains of the Prophet in the Yogen province [1] was a large grassland plain with rice fields near the northeast coast. [2] The Uikku Shrine was built there, dedicated to the Phoenix shugenja Uikku who recorded the Tao of Shinsei, [3] and the entire area around the shrine, including Heigen Yogensha were considered sacred.
