Hida Tadama was a bushi commander and berserker of the Crab Clan. He married with the Boar Clan Champion Heichi Tochiko, becoming Heichi Tadama.
Favored of the Celestial Dragon[]
In the aftermath of the Destroyer War the Celestial Dragon for the first time interfered directly in human affairs. [1] Hida Tadama attracted the attention of the dragon, and found him worthy of its favors. [2]
Winter Court - 1199[]
Favored by the Celestial Dragon[]
In 1199 Tadama attended Imperial Winter Court at Toshi Ranbo. [3] Yotsu Shinzai invited Tadama to an afternoon party of philosophy, a discussions of the spirit realms and other mystical matters. During a friendly talk with Kuni Tomokazu, somehow Tadama went on berserker, closing his fingers in a grip of death around the Kuni's throat. He regained his control aided by the Celestial Dragon, [4] who chose to make its presence felt by all present at the assembly. [5]
Betrothed[]
Tadama was betrothed to Heichi Tochiko, who would be granted the Daimyoship of the restored Boar Clan. [6]
Devil's Chase[]
Tadama had struck up a friendship with Tsuruchi Kinuyo, and became a mentor for her. He had gifted her a jadearrowhead, which would be instrumental during the fight against a shapeshifting Kommei no Oni at the end of the Winter Court, a monster who was exposed during the event known as Devil's Chase. [7]
Boar Clan[]
Tadama married with Tochiko, and they moved to the ruins of Shiro Heichi. In 1200 the castle was already half rebuilt. [8]
Rise of Jigoku[]
In 1200 in the Month of the Dog, Tadama, Tsuruchi Kinuyo, Daidoji Sakuzou, Isawa Hibana, Ikoma Masaru, Tonbo Inuyama, Kuni Sango and Shosuro Yoshiyuki found evidences of an impeding Spider attack near Cold Wind City. The village was evacuated before the Battle of the Second Seal began. [9]
