The Heart of Fudo was a powerful artifact in the shape of an egg. It was like the Egg of P'an Ku, a yin to its yang. [1] The Fudoists found a way to bind a fragment of the mad dragon P'an Ku, in a shape of a heart. It was an actual piece of P'an Ku, then it contained some of his memories and power. [2]
Location[]
The Heart was guarded within a secret room in a Temple of Fudo in the deepest portions of the Spine of the World Mountains, where the range divided the Crane holdings into two. [1]
Abilities[]
The Heart granted visions of what P'an Ku's madness might be, if events were allowed to unfold without any intervention. [1]
Empire's Discovery[]
A group of Emerald Magistrates led by Doji Hakuseki found the temple that was filled with Writings of Fudo. They eventually found the Heart and retrieved it. [1] It was studied by Yung, who saw some manner of life. [3] The item was moved to the Second City, as advised by Master of Air Isawa Mitsuko, to commune or parley with P'an Ku. [2]
Broken[]
The Heart was used by the Empress' eldest son Iweko Seiken to summon an avatar of P'an Ku, but the nemuranai was eventually broken in multiple shards. Shortly thereafter the mad dragon willingly banished from the mortal realm. [4]
