The Hawk Clan was the name selected by Hantei XIII for the Clan of Air. During the Heresy of the Five Rings the monk Gorinno, and actually his Imperial Advisor, had proposed that the Empire's unbalance would be solved merging the Scorpion and Crane Clans. In 534 the Emperor officially announced the betrothal of the Crane Clan Champion Doji Iwata with the Scorpion Clan Champion Bayushi Megumi, as the first step to merge both clans. Eventually Gorinno lose the Emperor's favor and the Hawk Clan never happened to exist. [1]
Hawk Purists[]
Ronin began to claim allegiance to the Hawk, and banded together and they were known as the Hawk Purists. When the Heresy was denounced they scattered. [2]
