Hatsumon Noyan was a bushi of the Unicorn Clan who dared to ride one of the sacred Utaku steeds, earning the scorn of the entire Utaku family. After Shinjo Reki's death he assumed command of a Unicorn army, as the highest ranked officer present. Led by Utaku Kamoko, the entire Shiotome contingent left the encampment the next day, as they refused to be commanded by him. [1]
