The Hanegansi family was a vassal family of the Doji. They made a new strand of flowers to be presented as a gift in the Imperial wedding between the Empress Iweko I and Akodo Setai. [1]

In the last years of the 12th century Lady Hanegansi was a woman of legendary beauty, whose presence was requested even by the Crane Clan Champion Doji Makoto. It was known that Doji Shunya was her go-between with her lord. [2]
