Hanare was the seventh and penultimate step of Kyujutsu, the release. The archer had already prepared the full draw, Kai, so he made certain his breathing was correct and then released the arrow, setting it in flight. He had now to wait the arrow hit the target, during the continuation of the shot, zanshin. [1]
