Goichi was the abbot of the Inari Seido in the Nobu Valley. He lived his whole life in the templeafter his parents died from illness. Goichi had lost all sight and could barely move, but retained a sharp wit and an unequaled knowledge of the Fortune of Rice, Inari, and its traditions. [1]
