People |
Ginkgo was the ronin sensei of the Thousand Leaves Dojo and was a gunso of the Legion of Two Thousand. She was not a pretty woman, but was a terrible warrior. She used to fight with naginata. [1]
Family[]
Ginkgo had two children Azusa and Hoonoki, born of different father. Both men were members of the Legion who died in combat. [1]
Thousand Leaves Dojo[]
Ginkgo became a gunso of the Legion. When she had her eldest son she founded her Dojo to train up the new recruits of the Legion. The Legion fragmented while the Four Winds fought over the Throne, and no one cared about it. Ginkgo continued with the Dojo and grew her two children. [1]
Legion Rebuilds[]
In 1168 a ronin and former Unicorn, Natsume, approached Ginkgo. He told his intention to rebuild the Legion, because the Empire and the Emperor needed it again. The last day of the month the graduated students formed the renewed Legion of Two Thousand. A former student, Tokaji, had left the dojo to defend from bandits a small village in the Scorpion lands. The Legion marched to Doko Maru. [1]
Doko Maru[]
Ginkgo, ten graduated students and her children met Tokaji. Tamago and Utagawa also joined the party. They had been tracking down the bandit leader, Kokei from Dragon lands. They prepared an ambush and lured the bandits on it, who fought with unexpected ferocity to death instead to be routed. [1]
Death[]
Ginkgo was killed during the skirmish and Hoonoki was chosen to be her successor as sensei of the dojo. [1]
