A Ger was a domed, circular tent which was the favorite dwelling of the nomadic Unicorn Clan. It was made of felt and reinforced by khana, or wooden rods. Ger had one door, several windows and a toono, or skylight which doubles as a smoke escape. [1]
Chomchog[]
Important Unicorn nobles, including the Khan dwelled in larger ger called chomchog. [1] Moto Chagatai's chomchog was so large that it requires two-dozen oxen to carry it. [2] They were warm, secure and portable, [3] requiring several oxen and a wagon to carry. One chomchog could house up to a dozen people. [4]
