Matsu Toshiro was a samurai in the Lion Clan, who retired as the monk Gen'ichirō.
Mahō[]
Toshiro dabbled in the forbidden practice of mahō, in pursuit of serving his lord better, but he was discovered and sentenced to death. Toshiro was escorted to a mountain peak of spiritual significance for his death, but Toshiro's guard procession was devastated by a flash flood. Escaping into the Northern Mountains, he was found in the brisk of death by a group of monks and healed. [1]
Monk[]
The experience deeply affected Toshiro, who took on the new name Gen'ichirō and decided to stay with the monastery. Despite his physical fitness and towering stature, Gen'ichirō was quiet, calm, and chose his words very precisely. His shoulders, back, and chest depicted robins in flight, an adornment related to his time as a samurai. He wore a long, ugly scar across his left forearm from his experiences with blood magic. [1]
