A Mask of Iuchiban
The Four Masks of Iuchiban were porcelain masks created by Iuchiban, and any who wore any of them could open and enter the Tomb of Iuchiban, the place where was trapped the leader of the Bloodspeaker cult. There were four known masks: the Isawa Mask, the Kuni Mask, the Otomo Mask, and the Yogo Mask. These artifacts revealed objects, creatures, and pathways normally only visible to the Lost and those corrupted by the Shadowlands. When a mask was used to enter the tomb, it vanished, only to reappear weeks or years later elsewhere in Rokugan. [1]
Location of the Masks[]
One of the masks was once located in the Shadowed Swamps, [2] inside the mempō of the lost armor Kikyo, the armor forged by Hida Osano-wo for his lost brother Hida Atarashi. The armor was donned by Hida Chuku in his ill-fated expedition in the 10th century, and retrieved in 1123 by the Kuni Daimyō Kuni Yori. He already owned another of the masks, which he had been found among his father's belongings. [3]
Yogo Mask[]
The Buried Chamber, a secret place deep beneath the streets of the Temple Quarter at Ryokō Owari Toshi, contained the Yogo Mask. [4]
