Sea of Shadows
The Sea of Shadows was the sea that bordered the eastern and southern sides of the Shadowlands. The shoreland bordering the Sea of Shadows was known as the Thorn Coast. These Tainted waters were a vast swath plagued by sudden and destructive storms, long spells of eerie calm, and endless banks of thick, cold fog. Sometimes the water itself became a deadly foe, suddenly boiling, freezing into jagged ice, or clinging to the sides of ships as it congealed into blood, sludge, or corrosive acid. It was filled with monstrous creatures that dwelled within its waters, such as the Skull Tide. [1]
