Lookout Mountain
Lookout Mountain (KKK) [1] in the Shiranai province [2] was a geological anomaly in Rokugan, rising up as a singular mountain in the middle of the plains of the Lion, and on a clear day, all of Lion territory was visible. [3]
Creation[]
Lookout Mountain (KKK)
Lookout Mountain was created by Isawa's Last Wish as a gift for its father Isawa. [4] [5] Ikoma Records showed that the Mountain simply erupted from the plains following a particularily violent earthquake more than a thousand years ago. [6] Ikoma scouts who saw the event named it Lookout Mountain, as from its vantage one could see far and wide across the plains. The Lion built Darkness City, named so because for at least half of every day the shadow of the mountain covered the city. [7] Deep within the peak was a chamber where the Void element was extremely strong, the walls and floor of the room lined with copper ore and gemstones. [8]
Copper Mines[]
Vast deposits of copper were discovered in the area surrounding Lookout Mountain, a metal previously not found in Lion lands but thereafter quite abundant. Shortly after the mountain appeared, zokujin were drawn to the area in large numbers. The Ikoma put them to work in the Copper Mines. In 1158 many of them escaped around the same time the volcano Wrath of the Kami in the Dragon lands erupted. [9]
Kitsu[]
The Kitsu revered the powerful kami that resided within the mountain and maintain a temple here. [10] The spirit watched over the Lion Clan, protecting them from harm. [4]

| Lookout Mountain is located in the Kitsu lands at Foshi Province (center of triangle Foshi, Tonfajutsen, Bishamon Seido) as per Legend of the Five Rings; Third Edition page 306, but Shirani Toshi is located in the border with the Unicorn, at Shiranai Province, far away of Foshi Province, as per any RPG source as Secrets of the Lion page 95, location L6. The conflict is maintained at Great Clans page 128, where Kenson Gakka is placed southwest of the mountain, placing the outcrop in the Kitsu area, but saying at the same time that Kenson Gakka is southwest of Shiranai Toshi, which is clearly impossible.
