Fight Back the Darkness was a kata developed by Yoritomo Kumiko to fight her taint. It allowed the user to draw upon deep reserves of willpower and self-control, maintaining serenity despite outside influences. Any time the user willingly accepted an influence that corrupted his body or mind, such drugs, alcohol or drawing upon the power of maho or the Shadowlands Taint, the kata was disrupted. [1]
