The Festival of Yoritomo was celebrated by the Mantis Clan in the 4th day of the Month of the Serpent, in honor to Yoritomo, who elevated them as a Great Clan. It was the Mantis equivalent to the various festivals of the Kami that were held throughout the Empire. It was not only a religious event, involvings tournaments and sparring on behalf of Yoritomo samurai, to prove themselves worthy of Yoritomo. [1]
