Seeker of Enlightenment
Enlightenment was the awakening to the true nature of reality, a goal sought by those Rokugani practitioners of Shinseism. There were False Paths, dangerous traps which laid in the way of those who sought Enlightenment. [1] Enlightened mortals who had chosen to shackle themselves to endless reincarnations rather than accept their divine reward, so that they might guide others to Enlightenment throughout their countless lives, were known as Sennin. [2]
Shinseism[]
Shinsei taught that, just as ki came from the Void and returned to it, the human soul did not linger in the underworld for eternity, but existed in a cycle of death and rebirth. Only through Enlightenment could one escape this cycle and all the suffering it entailed. [3]
