Doji Tatsuki was a bushi and courtier of the Crane Clan.
Training[]
Tatsuki was born into a Doji vassal family, and showed a gift for politics at an early age. She was taken on as a student by the famed Doji Ayano. [1]
Winter Court[]
In 1193 Tatsuki attended Winter Court at Kyuden Otomo, where she was alongside prominent courtiers as the Scorpion Clan Champion Bayushi Nitoshi and the Phoenix Clan Champion Shiba Tsukimi. In front of Tatsuki both Champions arranged to decide the fate of the War of the Twins through a final battle led by each of them, which eventually would turn in a personal duel lost by Tsukimi. [2]
Turquoise Champion[]
In 1199 Tatsuki became the new Turquoise Champion [3] after Ikoma Satoru stepped down. She intended to extend the influence of her position as far as possible, sending envoys to the Empress' sons, Iweko Shibatsu and Iweko Seiken. [4]
New Emperor[]
In 1200 Iweko Seiken was proclaimed Emperor. Tatsuki put forward Doji Dainagon to advise Iweko II on matters of art, culture, and their relation to politics, guiding his thinking on a daily basis. [5]
